Welcome to,
We warmly welcome you to St. James Syriac Orthodox Church, the Jacobite parish serving the faithful in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Established on June 23, 2024, our church provides a sacred space for worship, community, and spiritual growth.
The Holy Qurbono (Divine Liturgy) is typically conducted bilingually, incorporating both Malayalam and Syriac in hymns and prayers. Malayalam is the mother tongue for many of our members from Kerala, India, while Syriac, an ancient liturgical language, connects us to the roots of early Christian worship in the Middle East.
We hope this website serves as a valuable resource for you to learn more about our Church, its mission, and its ministries. Whether you are a longtime member or a newcomer, we invite you to explore our webpage, engage with our activities, and join us in our journey of faith and fellowship.
Thank you for visiting, and may God’s abundant blessings be upon you and your loved ones.
